The design — features Banner Bee, a cheerful, flag-waving patriotic bee. The flags he is holding are Star Spangled Banners showing what the American Flag looked like in 1814 when Francis Scott Key wrote his renowned poem called The Star Spangled Banner the morning after the British Navy bombarded Fort McHenry at the tail end of the War of 1812. Key's poem became our National Anthem and at the time the original poem was written, the American Flag had 15 Stars and 15 Stripes.
